BEWARE- We paid All Construction and Developers, Inc. almost $20,000 to start our retirement condo renovation. It has been a nightmare. There are many problems. I will have a web site up in a short while with photographs taken at the beginning of September 2010 and at the end of December 2010. I will also provide all details of my experience including documents.

The most glaring work: All Construction installed 24×24” porcelain tiles butted together with no grout space. Most are not level. In some instances, if you place a level across adjoining tiles, there is up to 1/2 inch of air space under the level, where the tiles join. Most corners do not line up. Some tiles are chipped. I have found some tiles are only supported by 3″ circles of thinset placed under the tile corners
and centers. In some areas the thinset circles can be 3/4 inches high. If you walk across the floor, you hear a hollow clop, clop, clop and you can feel some tiles rock slightly. We had to hire a Florida licensed Tile expert with 30+ years of experience to inspect and evaluate this unbelievable and horrifying work. He as well as another inspector indicated that every tile has to be ripped out and replaced. Subsequent communications to All Construction representatives produced no action other than to state that they stand by the performed work. They also stated that their men are “trained professionals”.

Renovation started in July and was promised to be completed in 4 weeks. I finally fired All Construction at the end of September after many conversations, emails, faxes and certified letters to try and resolve the issues. They just stonewalled us. Consequently, I have had to hire an attorney.

IMO these are BAD people. USE AT YOUR OWN RISK!

After paying $20,000 to All Construction, our apartment stands gutted with a lot of trash left inside and approx. 500sq ft of tiles that have to be ripped out and replaced.

To date and to my knowledge, the owner (license holder), has never, visited the job site to look at the job much less look at the problems. Even after phone calls and letters he has never looked at the work.

All I get are faxes in which he states that his men are trained, professionals, and he stands by their work.

When I call, I can never speak to him because he does not speak english. Once it sounded like he threw the phone to someone outside. There was some yelling. In a few moments some one says “Yes” he says, “Yes”, “Sure”, “Yes”. And around we go…

Lastly, I had to file a Police Report due to the theft of over $4,000 of plumbing fixtures, electrical fixtures and personal items. The Department of Business and Professional Regulation is also involved.

IMO these are BAD people. USE AT YOUR OWN RISK!
